01 Our Story
It started with
a little warmth
in a pocket.
WINIST opened its doors in Incheon in 2000. We believed that if we could warm someone's cold hands in a pocket on a winter day, that alone was work worth doing.
In 2005 we began supplying hand warmers to the Korean Army welfare agency's PX stores — the start of our work with the military. Supply expanded to the Air Force welfare agency in 2011 and to the Navy in 2015. That same year we supplied 6,600,000 units as the lead supplier of body warmers to the Public Procurement Service, and from 2021 through 2026 we have supplied the Korea Military Welfare Agency and the Public Procurement Service every year.
The company grew with the years. Our first export shipment went to Japan in 2006, and in 2011 we incorporated as WINIST Co., Ltd. We earned ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification in 2014 and built a new automated factory in 2021. Then, in 2026, we moved into a new 6,500-pyeong factory in Cheongna, Incheon.
Today you will find WINIST hand warmers not only at military posts but also close to home, through Coupang, Homeplus, CU convenience stores and GS Shop. Overseas, our exports have grown from Japan to Malaysia (2013) and Russia (2016).
The places have multiplied, but the reason we make them has not changed. Warming someone's hands on a cold day — that is what WINIST does, today as on the first day.

so we can answer for it.
WINIST is not a trading company that outsources production. Our Cheongna factory in Incheon, where we moved in 2026, covers 6,500 pyeong (approx. 21,500㎡) and can produce 70,000,000 units a year.
