How to Use

Use it well,
stay warm longer.

A hand warmer for your pocket, a heat patch that sticks to your clothes, a toe warmer that goes on your socks — each works a little differently. Here is which one suits which day, where and how to use it, and how to use it safely.

01 When to Use

The right warmer for the day

How long you will be outside, and whether you need your hands free, decide which warmer fits best. Large pocket warmers last 18 hours, medium 12 hours, adhesive warmers 12 hours, and the mini pack and toe warmers 8 hours.

02 How to Use

How to use each type

WINIST hand warmers are disposable warmers that heat up when iron powder meets oxygen in the air. There is no electricity or charging involved — open the wrapper and they start to warm up.

03 Safety

All of the warmth,
none of the burns.

Even heat that does not feel hot can cause a low-temperature burn if it stays on one spot for too long. Just follow these five rules.

  • 1Do not use it on the same spot for a long time.
  • 2Never stick it directly on skin — always use it over clothing.
  • 3Do not use it while you sleep.
  • 4Do not use it together with other heaters such as electric blankets or heated mats.
  • 5Infants, older adults, people with diabetes and people with sensitive skin should use it only after a caregiver has checked.

04 Storage & Disposal

Half-used, used up, or unopened

Saving a half-used warmer

Put it in a zip-lock bag, press the air out and seal it. Cutting off the oxygen stops the reaction, and you can take it out the next day and use the remaining hours.

Throwing away a used warmer

Dispose of it with general waste. It is a single-use product — once it has cooled, it will not heat up again.

Storing unopened warmers

Shelf life is three years from the date of manufacture. Keep them unopened in a cool place, out of direct sunlight.
